The Winter-Spring season of jazz concerts by UW student ensembles at Tandem Press continues with two student combos. Directed by Professor Johannes Wallmann, the BNE is focusing this semester on the music of Charlie Parker, while the JSE (directed by Professor John Schaffer) continues to mine the standard jazz repertoire. 5:00 PM, 1743 Commercial Avenue (just east of North Sherman, on Madison’s near North Side). Free admission.
