Jazz at the Park Street Music Fest

The 2019 edition of this annual family-friendly festival of local and regional African American and kindred musicians features a cross-section of genres including jazz, R&B, Blues, and Pop.  Produced by PEBOGA (the local production company headed by Black community leader Clyde Gaines), this year’s line-up includes a “smooth jazz” performance by the band Collage and Company at 4:00pm.  Jazz fans may also enjoy the 5:00pm performance by the blues band Tweed, which has performed at jazz festivals around the Midwest, and the salsa dance band Orquesta Salsoul at 6:00pm. The Fest runs from 2:00 – 8:00pm on the Madison Labor Temple grounds, 1602 South Park Street.  Free admission, and food available for sale.
