All-Ages Jam

For January’s second MJJ session, the Jam’s house band includes trombonist Darren Sterud and a rhythm section of Dave Stoler on piano, Ben Ferris on bass and drummer Michael Brenneis. The first set’s featured tune is the late saxophonist Frank Foster’s “Blues at Hoss’ Flat,” a piece he wrote in the 1950s for the County Basie band (which Foster led after Basie’s passing in 1984).  Free admission, but donations are gratefully accepted.
