Strollin’ Schenk’s Corners: Madison’s First Ever Jazz Crawl

Strollin’ Schenk’s Corners: Madison’s First Ever Jazz Crawl

What started as an idea from Madison’s jazz musician community became a reality on Friday, May 23rd. Madison’s first ever jazz crawl debuted in the Schenk’s Corners neighborhood. The event featured five venues and 10 jazz acts which included over 30 local jazz performers. Though funding raised by The Greater Madison Jazz Consortium, participating venues, a sponsorship from The Monona State Bank, and audience donations all the participating musician were paid a fair wage for each performance. The debut event was a rousing success and has opened the possibility for future Strollin’ events.
